Policy on Letters of Recommendation
Teaching:
Normally I run the research-oriented CYBR 624 (Cybersecurity Project) during fall and spring semesters. Additionally, I routinely support graduate independent study activities from CMSC and related disciplines, along with mentoring students from our Interdisciplinary Studies (INDS) program. In prior years I’ve taught CYBR 691 Special Topics, CMSC 304 (Ethics in IT), and CYBR 620 (Intro to Cybersecurity).
Research Supervision:
I am happy to discuss graduate research opportunities. If your research interests involve cybersecurity, cyberwarfare, information operations, privacy, influence/mis/disinformation, risk/security communication, technology policy, and/or something along these lines, I'm especially eager to chat with you! For academic matters, you must contact me at my UMBC email found in the UMBC Directory.
Student Financial Support:
At the moment, I do not have TA/RA/GA opportunities.
